I could use some help...

Just reinstalled the game on my new computer (its fully patched) and when i start a new game i cant see ANY texture of planets, ships... Stars show, nebula/background stars show, a small ikon over my ships and planet show... but no actual texture. Can someone please help me/explain

Game options:
Tried 6xAA and 5xaa
Tried 1600x1200 and 1340x1024 still nothing
Full on everything else (and no i did not mark the "disable planets...bla bla bla" i left that entire column out.

specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo 2,44 Ghz
3Gb 800 Mhz RAM (Corsair DDR2-6400)
Sapphire Radeon X1950XTX 512MB GDDR4, PCI-Express,ViVo/HDCP,2xDVI, Full-Retail

You're in the strategic view. All you need to do is zoom in (you may need to adjust the strategic veiw zoom level slider in the options as well--the setting you choose on that slider determines what zoom level the map switches modes at).

Its a fresh reinstall and patched... and it doesnt work

Ah problem solved tho it didnt work zooming in in-game! but it worked when i changed the tactical view from 100 to 50

FYI nightboy42, if you post your debug info do not exclude the DXDiag stuff at the beginning. It is just as important as the rest of it, sometimes more so.
