Dialup Connections

Hello I preordered dark avatar and I am on dialup I have 20hrs and 45 minutes to go until it is completed . I am connecting at 45.2kbps so its kind of slow any tips on how to get it to go faster? I was thinking of going cable since it is much faster than dialup. Can anyone give me any thoughts on how to make the download go faster aside from getting behind it an pushing

Unless you get broadband as you say (or get someone who does to let you get it there), there isn't really anything you can do about it. If you can't get the full 56k (which might let you download 15% faster at best), it's probably due to the quality of your phone lines. So again, broadband is really the only solution.

If you have access to another machine that has faster internet access then there is a way to do this. You'd have to be willing to install DA on this other machine via SDC and do an archive. You can then move the archive files to the machine with the slow internet access and then use SDC merely to activate the archived version.
