Fighter pack

pack of fighters in combat instead of one.

Hey, don't you think that the fighters(Tiny hull) should come in a pack of 5?

I think they should attack in a flight pattern with a group of five ships. You know that if you buy a ship it comes as only one. but I think if you buy a fighter(tiny), it should come in a group of five. that way it isn't outgunned all the time and if it attacks another squadron of fighters, they swerve around each other like on Battlestar Galactica. They should also have their own equipment style that is weaker than the other ship equipment.

Please post what you think of my idea.

I forgot, you should also add your pack of 5 to another pack of 5 to make 10, but show up as only two ships in a fleet.

If you're talking about special effects and not the underlying game mechanics, I think you can do something like this with Kryo's hull mod.

I haven't tried it yet b/c I'm still finishing a very long game, but posts elsewhere suggest that you can build a tiny hull that looks like a group of whatever hulls or jewelry pieces you like. There's something like a "hull" that is only attachment points.

Yes, you can do this with kryo's mod, as well as do it for large ships.

The General's question does remind me how nice it would be to be able to build multiple tiny hulls in one turn on high-prod worlds. My math is so weak that I can't imagine why it would be hard to build two 200 BC ships on a world cranking out 400 build points.

I'd even be willing to buy multiple starports if that's what it takes to produce more than one ship per turn per planet.

You can remove the PlacementLimit tag, but while you would probably be able to build multiple starports, it wouldn't let you build multiple ships as you're looking to do.
