Stardock Easter Holiday

Stardock will be closed for Easter weekend starting on Friday, April 3rd and we will be returning on Tuesday, April 7th. We will be monitoring support tickets and forums during this time, but expect delays in responses during this time.

Well, I can honestly say installing galciv2 is harder than graduating bootcamp @ Parris Island. I obviously bought a game from the "bad batch" cd's. The info on the phamphlet states how easy it is to download, just need serial #.......well I have yet to figure out how to download squat. Oh, stardock will gladly let me download for $39.95 but I already have it in hand. I don't have any tokens either.....can someone please explain to me in lamens terms how to navigate stardock and how I can download the game.

Download the "stardock central" application from www.stardock.com

Go into the games section
Right click Galactic Civilizations 2 - Register product.

Enter your registration information, that is email and serial number, and then click ok.

Should download from there.

I had trouble loading the game from CD too. It wasn't the disks however. It was my antivirus program.

Just go to add/remove programs and completely get rid of your anti-virus program. Then load GC2 from CD.

The game is worth the hassle of reloading your antivirus program and the virus signature updates.

OK, harder than PI? It can't be that hard, after all I've been there too and I've been playing since it came out.

The anti-virus thing can be a hassel. I would try disabling it first, as well as any other background programs you have running.

On a related note, happy early 231st Birthday!
