I am on the Campaign mission Achilles' Heel. The game is been working beautifully until this mission. The mission starts with "contact" messages from my allies - the Altarians, the Arceans and the Torians. But when I get to the Torian one, the game crashes. Every time.
However, I was able to get around that by clicking "Done" really quick because the crash happens after 5 seconds of looking at the Torians.
So I got on with the game until my first diplomacy screen meeting with the Torians. I clicked on "Speak to" because I wanted to trade tech with them. Within 5 seconds, crash; with the music still playing.
I thought this might be random to I restarted the game several times but every single time I saw or talked to the Torians the game crashed.
