Is it a bug? alien contact.

ok so i'm starting a metaverse game and I set 5 AIs all friendly to start...


I've not yet encountered them but I can contact them and trade.

bug no? maybe setting friendly means you already have contact. but when you actually do make contact via your scouts, they do the usual greeting.

espionage is affected here....seems you can use it till you actually do meet them.

I've had similar experiances, ever since 1.1 I can almost always communicate with the Thalens, even if they are on the other side of the galaxy, at the game start.

If you set any AI relationship to anything other than Unknown, then that means that you will start off in contact with them.
