how to set default language to english?

hey @ all
i bought the german version of galcivII.
i would rather like to play the game in english.

how can i set english as default language?

I can't say for sure as I don't have a foreign copy handy, but AFAIK there is simply a registry key that sets the language. If Peace Phoenix sees this thread he should be able to supply specifics.

Go in the registery to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Stardock/Drengin.net/GalCiv2

Then edit the "Language" key et set its value to "English". 

BTW, I was able to simulate the french version by changing the value of this key to "French" and applying the retail patch to get all French files that were in the patch.
