yea, I don't always go for looks, sometimes I just go for functionality. Otherwise just slap peices on.
Designing them to look cool takes some practice and trial and error, perhaps go for something simple at first, then try different combinations of things. It can also help if you have a certain theme in mind, such as a fierce looking battleship, or a luxury cruise ship.
Ive wondered if putting an antimissile defense thing on the bottom of the ship won't defend VS missiles comming from above the ship in this game... does it? It's not noticable in the combat, due to inability to zoom, and the bad programming which makes it lag. no offense |
It seems like all of them use a protective sphere around the ship, even though the armors wouldn't 'project' a sphere around the ship. It's probably more representative than anything else, so position doesn't matter.
