Stardock will be closed for Easter weekend starting on Friday, April 3rd and we will be returning on Tuesday, April 7th. We will be monitoring support tickets and forums during this time, but expect delays in responses during this time.

parse error trying to activate

I installed GalCiv2, applied the 1.2 patch and tried to activate but I get this error in activate.log

Result parsing error (2)

Error activating the product

Please check the serial number that you have entered and ensure that it is associated with the email you used. Try to activate the product again. If you are using Stardock Central you can right-click on the product and attempt to activate without reinstalling. Please include this log file when contacting [email protected].



The serial number must be correct - i copied it from the email.

Where did you purchase the game from BTW? Is there a possibility that the copy you have may have been registered by another member previously? If this is the case then you may have trouble activating the product as it will have been already registered and activated. Any additional info like this will be very helpful for the guys at support when they come to look at your 'ticket'.

I have the same too just got the game from EB and it wont let me register it.. why sell products if it has already been tampered with....

EB used to sell second hand games & if you purchased one of these it could be the reason behind the trouble. However if yours is brand new off the shelf then speak to support and see what they suggest and take it from there.
