Flipping Planet Prob

In the last couple of games i've played i have had enemy planets that will be rebeling to me(or trying to)for years and never actually flip. I'll have like x5.23 influence on them the whole time. Other times though they flip rather quickly in the first few turns. I was wondering if theres' something im not doing right on the ones that won't flip, but then again i had two in the same system one flipped quick the other rebeled the entire rest of the game, but never flipped. Any thoughts? Thanks:)

The morale level has an influence. Could be the ones that didn't flip had high morale.
Some races are more loyal than others and consequently harder to flip.
There's a superproject that can be built that makes a planet immune to flipping.
Lastly, it's partly random so you may just have had an unusual run of the dice!

4.0 is the minimum for flipping to occur, but I *think* (not sure though) that the likelihood increases as the multiple does. It may well be that for the particular race and morale you were trying to flip, was just not enough to have much chance. Beyond increasing the multiple, there's nothing you can do.

I've seen planets with a 5x influence disadvantage hang in there for quite a while. As random50 said, some races have a loyalty bonus that can help prevent their planets flipping.

Once you get up to a 10x infuence advantage, they should flip rather rapidly.

K Thanks Guys. I was originally under the impression that it was a certain amount of turns after rebelling till flipping. Now I know

Even if you get a massive influence over a planet, it still has to make a random roll, and fail. It's entirely possible (but hopefully unlikely) that you could have 50 influence over a planet, yet have it be so incredibly lucky as to pass the loyalty roll every turn and never flip.
