I had an odd result on the last game I played. Basicly my first planet was generating about 80% of my total research even though it only had one research building on a normal tile. It was over 5 times more research then my Tech capital with 10 research buildings, tech capital, etc. The plant that had the huge research amount was a ship factory planet loaded with factories and a starbase. It had a couple moral buildings and one each influance and research building. any ideas why it was chugging out HUGE amounts of research? About 2 times more research then production, even with a production focus! The production planet had a pop 10 and the research had a pop of just 5. The tech planet had 2 tech tile bonuses a 300 and I think 100. the factory planet had 1 production bonus tile and an influence (maybe moral) tile.
