how/where can i download the lattest beta?

i've just re-installed galciv2 after reading some of the newest beta changes and fixes... but now i can't find a link to download it anywhere

is it exclusively available with stardock? doesnt that program (stardock) have problems, and among them, not being able to use the systems environment proxy/socks settings?

would really be cool if there was just a simple link that asks for my serial and voila.. download

Yes, the beta patches are only available on SDC. SDC shouldn't have any issues with network configuration--it just follows whatever you have IE configured to do.
