Anyone else getting a weird bug after the download of the Beta? All of the planets in my new games are completly mountaneous, white and to top it all - improvements on them, or rather improvement slots are lined exactly through the middle of the planet view...

Yes I noticed this one!

Terrible glitch, hopefully gets fixed asap! I made another thread for all 1.3 beta bugs, posted some screenshots about this one too.

At least the 'all tiles in a line' part of it isn't a bug. If you've ever gotten a planet with a massive PQ bonus on it, you'll notice that that's what the game does when it runs out of normally useable tiles (it starts using 'unuseable' tiles from the equator out).

It's a bug with the locale.  If you change your language settings to English (US), that will fix it until we can fix it in code.

Why to fix? It's great if a lava planet have only lave on it and ice only ice and desert only desert. what really bugs me it's that I play, I'm colonizing a desert planet and the place the colony is sitting on is wasteland!!! and the same thing on an iceplanet.. I tried to mod the planet color schames but that didn't work...

Beta should also imply that someone at the company loaded a saved game and saw this bug as well eh? Beta doesn't mean that it (the latest iteration of GalCiv2) erupted from the last programmers "Save" and then launched itself onto the download list. But...

Remember...WE are the playtesters for this game for the most part. And that is both good and bad news.

Well, could you please tell me where I can change my language settings since I´m also stuck with this error. I can´t find a file where I could change the language
settings with an editor.

Ok, solved the problem by changing my windows language settings to english(US).
But would be nice to have my former keyboard settings soon

If you want your old language settings, change it back and then make sure the decimalisation is 1,000.00 (US decimal). The game won't work with German decimal, simple as that.

Well, I can tell you that the next version of the beta will allow to keep your regional setting: I have beta tested a fix for Cari, and it works

I get this. I can concur with socially hazardous that it's triggered whenever certain popups appear. I'm not sure about the trade route closed notification, but it definitely happens whenever a planet rebels due to influence.

The notification popup appears, but the camera is still moving between autopiloted events etc.

To fix it I would quicksave and load. Alt+Tab didn't work for me. I've played in windowed mode 1024*768, fullscreen 1024*768 and fullscreen 1280*800. It never happened on the latter, and that's my screen's native resolution.

EDIT: Ok, so a bug to report about the forums! I posted this in the thread about the minimap refresh dying, and it found its way here. It's probably something to do with tabbed browsing in firefox...
