When writing your post/reply, click on the Options tab and see what is currently checked.
For you, it looks like "Pure HTML code" was checked.
In this case, you have to add the code for a line break where you would like to add some lines between paragraphs.
PS: cannot type the code as it does a line break instead... check the Options tab, you should understand
