Game sounds when Evil causing glitches

I normaly never play as evil, only Neutral and Good, but today I decided I wanted to feel the love that only being evil can bring.

Everything is going good, I am making friends and killing them when they turn there backs. (Bwahahaha) But then the game starts to slow down as the changes to the games sounds from being evil seem to be taxing my system...

Has anyone else noticed this happening when they play Evil and say obsolete 30 ships .

P.S. It does clear up once I restart the game and reload, but is it behaps a sign of a memory leak?
