Game Crashes While Loading

I haven't played the first GalCiv but i just bought the second one and it installs and seems to run fine intil a loading screen pops up when i try to start a new game or campaign. The game seems to run fine until that point. The computer does this 'thing' and a blue screen pops up with all this stuff that i don't undertand and so on and so forth. I'm using a NVidia Geforce FX 5200 and it supports direct x 9.0 and higher. I have the screen resolution set to 1024 x 768 and my comp is using 32 bit color. What's wrong?

Please go to C:\Program Files\Stardock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2 (or wherever you installed it), open the debug.err file you find there in notepad, and copy/paste everything in the file here.

Swap file should be increased to at least 2GB
More ram would help a lot.

I have the same problem.I dont know what to do i have SP2 512mb ram and
gal civ II is up to date.I dont know about the rest it is not my computer but still...

rapt0r2: Your video drivers are horribly out of date (in fact the game should notice this and give you a warning to that effect when you run it). You can get new ones at http://www.ati.com or http://www.omegadrivers.net
