Rights to play on a second computer?

Just a quick question:

Does the puprchase of a directly d-loaded game permit someone to d-load it again to a second computer & install patches? Or, as is the case with other digitially available games, do you have to return the e-license (essentially uninstalling the game) from the first compputer before it can be transferred to a second?

I ask because I made the mistake of showing the game to my son & now I have almost no chance to play it!

I think the EULA actually says only one computer but it has been stated here numerous times about installing on multiple computers and no one from Startdock has said anything about it. I think that you are OK as long as you don't install it on your friend's computer for him to play. The only concern I think you might have is when you are playing at the same time as someone else in the family on the second computer. They probably will say its OK to have multiple installations as long as only one is being used at any one time.

The problem with allowing multiple installs is...well people like me. I own an internet cafe. It just is not right to allow so many PCs to run one licence. Would I want an addictive game in my cafe so it was full all the time? Ask yourself lol
It would be nice tho to be able to buy extra licences at a reasonable price. HINT HINT STARDOCK

well, as far as I remember you can install the game on as many computers as you wish
but YOU should be the only one playing it, and only on one computer at once
edit: besides activation there's no copy protection whatsoever

I don't have a reference to cite, but I'm pretty sure Brad's said that as long as both copies weren't being played at the same time it was cool. I think we're on the honor system as far as enforcement, though. (Another example of Stardock treating their customers like customers instead of thieves.)

Indeed, there is no specific limit on the number of installs you can perform, but they must be on personally-owned machines for personal use and (obviously) only one instance is allowed to be run at a time. IIRC this is the same license terms as you get with most SD software.
