Ship Design 1.11 => 1.2b.009 lost ?

compatibility ?

I noticed that all my current ship designs work without problems if I just build them
but If I try to upgrade one, all components are thrown together

so, does everyone experience this or is it just me ?
is there something to do to be able to upgrade them without them losing their appearance ?
will 1.11 to 1.2 final have the same problem ? (or perhaps it is too early to ask)

I ask this because I would like to know if I should start taking screenshots of my ships to redo them later
