I have been playing GalCiv2 for a couple of months now, and being a MOO fan for years find this new "version" extremely fun and challenging. But I swear sometimes my hard drive makes so much noise during play I'm afraid it's going to explode. I have a fairly new Alienware system with 3.8 dual core CPU, 2 gb ram, Nvidia 7800. So I am quite surprised this game is taxing my drive so much. This is the only game that I noticed this problem and believe me I'm playing some pretty graphic and system hungry games. Just wanted to know some of your thoughts. BTW, I diagnosed my hard drive with IBM tools and found nothing wrong.
Thanks for any help you can give.
