Loading bug (unable to load scripting libraries) can't play game

I have updated to 1.1 and all my video cards have been updated (6 month old computer using windows XP)
When I installed both discs and I try to play the game, I get this error

"Unable to load scripting libraries"

the probable reason it gives for it not working is my windows script 5.6 was improperly installed. I downloaded from microsoft the fix or whatever it does and nothing still works and I continue to get the same error. I play other games (WoW, Oblivion, etc.) and I get no problems w/ them. Someone help me please...

Do you have McAffee virus scan? If so, please disable it or have it ignore galciv2.exe. It may be preventing you from running scripts.

If you don't, please try running the galciv2.exe file directly from your \program files\stardock\totalgaming\galciv2 folder.
