Dont know if you guys get this problem

hi there

everytime i play a gigantic level map(no matter how many races are in it) it crashes back to my desk-top after the 150 turn or so this is really angersome its happening before and even after the patch............i love this game but this is crap beyond belief
any of you guys know whats happaning here......or if you have suggestions that would help it would be great to hear them

The game isn't crap. Please post a debug.err, since most of us don't get this problem. That leads to the logical conclusion that if anything is crap, it's your comp.

So make with the debug please, so we can see what's happening.

Yes, I get alot of crashes too about mid to late game. I just increase the frequency of autosavesand you the crash as a hint it's time to eat or go to bed.

yes. sadly, its my personal clock as well... hehehe. but yea, i used to get crashes allll the time until i
a)cleaned the cobwebs in my comp (threw large things away that were un-needed)
upgraded to the newest patch
c)turned off autosave (though it can be helpful on uber-computers, dumb old ones like mine an prolly yours, its torture on memory)
d) (sadly) avoiding a map larger then "large" and no more than 5 or 6 races

give one or all or none of these a try if you wish, worked pretty dern good fer me

i dident say the game was crap i said that the fact this bug is crap i mean i love this game(its one the few games that has recently came out that i would say has classic writen all over it)

i dont know how to do a debug.err...........yeah im crap with P.Cs im afraid

but ill give those other things a try cheers guy much appecated

Hi Amon85, yes that is indeed a crap bug . I would suggest that you follow the instructions in the sticky "Problem IN-GAME?". It asks for a few details and the debug.err which you can find in the game directory. Basically its made automatically so after a crash search for debug.err.
