smjjames, I was just wondering how far DeadDodo was going to go to bring hs race to life. If you have something that creates .x files you can use your custom ships to replace one of the other races ship styles or jusy name the new hulls so they appear as extra hull designs.

WOW easy there people, I'll take a look into modding and stuff if there's an interest in The Kingdom of Dodorian Federations. However I have to tell you that I've never so much as looked at a modding guide in my life, so it may take a while before I get anything set up.
Additionally I'm working on expanding the backstory, It'll be up here at some point, just don't know when!

and luckily thanks to the responses on oni's post t-man has been watching for psycho and they are paying attention so hopefully psycho will really be gone for good

Josh, I agree I think it's great Wade has been reading along, maybe one day he'll say a little more. Up until recently I haven't been personally bothered by Psycho's behavier. I do agree that before today he has crossed the line, but what he did today could possibly in the future cause Stardock to employ more draconian measures to police the forum. Such measures would have a drastic impact on the way all of us interact.

Well dodo, if you post me the guide, stats they want etc, and maybe some pics, I could have it as a race pretty quickly, and I would be using it too

I don't think its going to make SD use harsher measures to police the forum since most ppl here are good guys, Psycho forced it on himself.

SD does need to add some way of notification of bad posters which would help.

not necessarily. a rating is pretty much just that, a rating.
report on the other hand should cause a siren to go off somewhere.

From my experience I can almost tell that psycho is using some hacking teqniques that most people bypass and it is not uncommon to have hundreds of people like psycho run down a forum in no time because those guys will deter people from the reason they are here.. If I could give stardock advice is to compleatley restrict access to the forums and this maybe a drag but if you wish to rid us of psycho and his minions (this could be more people than psycho) this is an effective way... Also I think that Stardock could but considering how the company is small it may not be the only effective way...Hire a Host to monitor the site from these folks and to monitor the forum as a hole... Just some idea's and I have tried to shut him out of my mind and you guys should to because they are out for the harassment of people so if we give them the silent treatment possibly they will be discouraged from coming and trying again...

The main teqnique that pycho is using is to repeat reregister he will continue to use the same way to attack these forums in this fasion that is to block the ISP The account he is currently using but will continue to find new ways to make his name more exotic should we say we could eventually see somthing like p;s;y;c;h;o for a user login the best way to effectively deal with this is to not use certain keboard keys to limit the types and variations of the name such as not to allow extra spaces, semicolins ;, braces { }, brackets [ ], perithesis ( ), " quotations ' apostrophes, _- these things, comma, + plus, = equals, backslash \, frontslash /, *astreriks, ! exclamation points, @ at signs, # pound keys, $ dollar signs, % percentage sign, ^ Carrot, & ampresand, And the Tilde thing ~. these if they were elimated in the use for accounts would make the ability to come up with a creative name hard.. Again this is not impossible to still achieave if you use a different name just keep at it and he will have to try something new more often...

Stardock has been around awhile and I'm quite sure they have dealt with issues like this before.

Worrying about hordes of minions and a projected outcome serves no purpose and in some cases can cause that which has not formed to surface with clarity.
