At the moment the Altarians seem to be my preferred race, I don't know why, usually it's the torians or Drengin.

No I don't think it matters what phone company you use, if someone has the knowledge and equipment (like all governments do) then there is nothing you can do to keep your phone calls private. The only fully secure communications method I've ever seen is called frequency hopping but it is only used by the military and is very difficult to use.

Dodo I always play custom, that's part of the reason I'm interested in a Dodorian Federation mod.

smjjames how is the demo's going are you ready to buy the full pack yet or are you to far from someplace that stocks the game?

I'm not too far from a place to get it, I'm getting it for my B-Day which is 2 weeks away its not a problem of location, its a problem of time since my B-Day is coming up.

What about difficulty Do you Try extremly hard or easy games. on large or small galaxies, with a star and planet abundance of what?

For me at this point I am playing with a difficulty of Tough (all on Intellegent) really they are not so intellegent I am ruthlessly crushing the Torians and have an alliance with everyone... I have a neutral alignment but I usually play on good.. I play the Gigantic galaxies with Abundant stars, Occasional Planets, Habitable Planets Abundant, Anomolies Abundant they are still gone before you know it...

I mean I want to import some race ideas into my own game. Changing the name of the races tp something someone has spent time and effort devising as a mod adds even more character in the game.

Whereas I just change the way people talk to them, and invent history between them. Ever tried to mod out every reference to eating someone the Drengin make?

It depends. If I have a lot of free time, I'll switch to seven races and play gigantic. Normally 5 races and large.

Tic Tacs you can buy a few boxes for less than $2 and stuff them down your throght in one gulp I don't think I want a malteaser because they are EXPENSIVE ... I have my race called the Conquest Unifacation and Don't know about how to fix the bug with the Homeworld names that take over every planet...

Well, 1.2 lets you make a mod, and chuck it into a folder. It can be done already, except you don't turn the mod on or off, you delete the modded data and copy the original.
