Right ok

In playing Galactic civilizations 2 i am encountering a sound issue, in the loading screen and starting movie the sound is fine, go to menu screen the sound stops completely as well as having no sound in the game while actually playing thought it plays ok there is just no sound. I have tried all the audio options in the game to no avail, it was working fine for about the first 5-6 times i played it and then it just stopped, no warning, no error message, i have un-installed and re-installed the game as well with and without the 1.1 patch.

I have updated with the latest patch for the game and my specs are below which are well above what is required for most games.
