Hola. I just had a problem where, upon hitting the "End Turn" button, my computer would rudely kick me back to desktop. No warning or error message showed up for this. Like pulling a band-aid.

So I cruised through the forums and found that the solution was to upgrade, which I did. Difficult, as I don't put my big computer on the 'net to avoid the chaos.

So here I am, upgraded and confident; imagine my suprise when it happens again

Is this because of the saved game itself? Can I expect this problem with the new patch installed? The game itself is great, but the glitches are killing me. If it's just the saved game, I'll start up a new game now that I have the patch and play crash-free.

PS: If it helps, the game always crashes on the same turn in the saved game. It might be cuz a starbase is getting overhauled by a constructor between turns.

PPS: I have a fairly old sound card driver. Could this be it? I tested by turning off all sound options, and the little bugger still crashed.
