How do you Declare war... >.<

How do you declare war is there some trick, i wanted to coast the game so i became a good race and made friends with everyone but i dont have aliances but at the "Lvl" in realation ship of "Close" can you not declair war on someone and its really drvining me nuts???? PLZ HELP

Please look over your post next time to make sure that people can understand what you are saying.

Anyway, you should be able to declare war on anyone you are not allied with. To declare war you need to tell one of your ships to attack the target race. If your government is a republic or higher you will need to have a vote before you can attack.

If you need to vote make sure your approval rating is at least 60%. Some members of your party will always vote against war and most other parties prefer peace. Well except the war party that is.

You can make an explicit declaration of war by speaking to a 3rd party and giving them your promise to attack whomever the target is.

I use this to keep up relations with other governments, as you do get something out of it.

I *do* wish there was a declare war option in the diplomacy, so you could use it as leverage... like "Give us these planets, or I'll declare war."

If your relations to a race are neutral or lower then telling them to give you stuff (don't offer anything in return) is taken as an "or else" demand, if relations are better than neutral then it is taken as a "polite request".

What Alfonse means is goto the diplomacy screen. And lets say you want to go to war with the Yor. And lets say the Humans are at war with the Yor too. So speak to the Humans. On your SIDE click ATTACK.. And pick YOR. Then on the Humans side sometimes you can get them to give money or something but at the very least it should improve your relations somewhat.

Wow, that works? I was all geared up for a 'lolz you can't declare war, needs proper dip system ZOMG' post.

Thanks for the helps i just wish there was a declar war option or as a leverage option one of you should suggest that for the next patch

I like to declare war by invading an undefended planet. I get a kick out of the message the robot sends me saying that due to the invasion, Target Civ X is very displeased with me, for "obvious reasons". Maybe it has something to do with my "Jerome Iginla"-class troop carrier landing directly on the Torian version of the White House and squashing it into a pancake.
