Ships have no textures

Annoying bug that has already been reported. I downloaded v.1.1 update and seems like this has not been fixed.

All ships and planets are gray without any textures. When I change Windows language and local settings to English U.S. graphics textures are okay. Should not be hard bug to fix - so why not do it!

(Most of users don't read these pages and don't know this workaround.)

omg, and i always wondered about the bad in-game graphic but everyone saying its ok

dont want to know how many european players play without textures cause they dont know about this "bug"

How do I change the windows language? I've been playing without textures, and I would love to finally see the game as it was meant to be seen...

i once had that problem, but I upgraded my video card, so things are working fine. to change the windows language just go to control panel, then regional and language options, and just change it.

Should not be hard bug to fix - so why not do it!


IIRC Brad already commented on this.. There's no reason why the change of language affects the textures so it's hard to fix. (If you only know the sympton (sp?) and not the cause you can't fix it)

The problem is not the location/language setting, but the decimal symbol "," (Europe) <-> "." (North America).
If I use the English (U.S.) setting and "," the textures still won't work.
