Registration Problem after updating Vers. 1.1

I own the Collectors Edition German Version

After updating my game with patch 1.1 the Game always starts with the Stardock Product Activation. I filled the Form but I always get "Invalid Registration". After this I installed Stardock Central, but also I get the same Answer. Then I tried the Registration Form at GalCiv2.com and I get following errors:
Error 3: Serial Number Is Not Registered To This Account
Error 13: Collectors Edition Serial Number Is Not Registered To This Account
I write down the registration number ten times and i am sure, that i make no mistakes.

I have also a problem with activation. I am about to activate via email (I do not have inet connection home), but I have no idea if these letters are zeroes or letters O. I think they are all O as they have no dots or anything like 0 should, but I am not sure. And to make it worse the letters are printed in different size. What will happen if I try to send the email with a wrong SN. Can I try it again later?

EDIT: So I activated it here at work directly. Is it O.K.? Can I copy the sig.bin home? Or have I made a fatal error. Can someone please help me? These forums have not been much of a help for me.
