Minor Request: Tooltips for components in ship designer

When you place components in new ships or redesign old ones, how about tooltips
showing what the component is when you mouse over it.

For users of the new patch:
If you are using the new patch, make sure that in the options under "Interface" and "Ship Designer", you
uncheck "remove functional components." Otherwise when you relook at the ship, say under "upgrade" you
will be missing the components.

Oh oh! I second that too! I have to actually try to hard compare the images and trying hard to remember what was originally that weapon/engine/armor. Especially when upgrading, tooltips for the existing components would be magic. I have been looking for this for a while now.

And yes I like to keep the existing components, I don't know why the default option is to clear them. After all upgrade is upgrade not design from scratch.

Better yet, if you click on a component on the ship, show what it is in the 'current component'-box in the lower left corner. Now it only shows the component if you choose a new one from the list.
Tooltips really are unnecessary if they fix this.

While I don't have a problem with the current 'strip her down' system, having more information available is *always* a good idea. I remember when I upgraded the slow way, and there was no way to tell the stats of the bits you were already using.
