A bit of a wish...

I was playing a game, and two races were dead. I had just killed one. Anyway, I was thinking that it would be awsome if the Minor races could become major races when they have a hyperdrive and have met a major race. That way the UP wouldn't be lacking in races after you kill off a major race.

Or maybe they would need to research a tech that gives them the colony ship.

Minors need a more robust AI... they need to become majors after a few turns.....

Custom Minors need a way to become major players.

The way I understand it, the Minors have the same AI as the other computers. The only difference is that they are not allowed to colonise.

They also have no influence .. one game i played the some minor race invaded other planet it was in 1.01
It would be fun to see Snathi conquering the galaxy

Well the 9 main races have there own AI so players wont be able to predict what they are going to do. The minor races share one AI so if there where 5 minor races in your galaxy then they will all be controled the same way the other minor races will be.

Not true, all the AI's are different, but the minors have their own weak AI. The fundamentalists and split off minors (terran confederacy) are root major AIs.

You can always give the minor races some of your colony and troop ships, and see what they do.

They can't colonise. Not because they can't build, they actually don't know how to.

But it would still be cool if they could take a spot in the UP after a race dies.
