No new types of crashes to be seeen from my end, just the typical Autosave crashes when it gets to be late in the game or when your video card gets to warm.
Noticed gameplay bugs for Beta 4
1. A.I. ignores upgradeable tiles, I don't mean ignore as in not upgrade them, I mean ignore as in literally ignore upgrading them and just build stuff right over them.
2. A.I. somehow can build two starports on one planet. Although, it only builds them on the uppgradeable tiles that it won't upgrade as mentioned above.
3. Exploit that allows you to create a ship with either the Trade ability or Construct ability without actually having to keep the modules on the ship. Create a builder/trader as normal, then make an upgraded design for it after at least one is built. Remove the Construction/Trading Module in the upgraded design. The ship will lose the module, but not the ability from it. Doesn't work for survey modules I think.
4. Good changes with the War Party. However, shouldn't the description match the stats instead of being the same description from the previous version of the War Party?
5. Despite having no money left, the A.I. still manages to buy and build ships. Can't prove it, but have seen it.
6. A.I. doesn't always build on every tile. Referring back to bug #1, the A.I. will build farms on those upgradeable tiles that were never upgraded. When you want to decommision these farms, since nobody wants a class 9 with 5 farms, the farm will disappear and the tile will go back to the upgradeable status as expected. However, the production from the farm will not be lost, as in it will still produce the "X" amount of food from that farm. If you look at the Summary window, it will correctly display the production.
7. Class 4 planets seem to only go up to 1.150 billion people, normal? Class 5, maybe 6, only goes to 4.255 billion people, normal as well?
8. What does that number in parenthesis next to the influence points mean? If it gets above 4, planets tend to want to revolt. The current record for an A.I. planet is 1015 in those parenthesis (A Torian planet) and still not revolting. This was in Beta 3 for me. In Beta 4, I currently have made an A.I. planet go to 22.52 without revolting for a few turns.
9. Rankings are still screwed up for the overall ranking. Near the end of one game for Beta 3, I was 1st in EVERYTHING except popularity where I was 3rd of 3, yet we all had the same score since we were all allied with each other. Despite being first in everything and tied for first with popularity, it displayed me as being 3rd of 3 overall.
More to come, I've only played one game with Beta 4 and am only 3 years into that one.
