After I get the following alignment question (paraphrased): "A new sport on your homeworld is to capture cute and furry animals to train them to fight" and I choose the "good" answer, which comes with a -5% approval penalty, my approval rating dropped from 69% to 1%.
After that I immediatly built multiple entertainment centers, but nothing changed. After that, I set the tax slider to 0. Again, no change. After 20+ turns, my citizens became unhappy and started defecting.
I guess that's a bug, as 69%-5% is not 1. I play the newest beta (1.1[b3].015).
I had to abandon the game. This is very annoying, but a work-around could be to choose the neutral answer. I'll keep a save-game of the botched game around, if you need it, let me know.
