Barthon you make a good point maybe the problem is the other race should not have had planets with 20bil people and no factories. One of the planets had 8 or 9 cultural buildings of same type, most of which I replaced over time. Not only does the AI incorrectly select upgrades, but your own planets will as well. I had 4 planets automatically select a research building to replace a farm. This resulted in the population being deleted. I did not notice this until it was to late on 3 of them.

I would rather have developers fix the AI build problems it would make the AI more competitive.

Technological advance is an inherently iterative process. One does not simply take sand from the beach and produce a Dataprobe. We use crude tools to fashion better tools, and then our better tools to fashion more precise tools, and so on. Each minor refinement is a step in the process, and all of the steps must be taken.

And Kalin, this might be news to you, but most of us participating in the Metaverse community are disgusted and discouraged by "cheating." On the Metaverse, all three of your proposals would be considered "cheating."

Unless I am mistaken, but metaverse games are played with a specific set of files, and you won't be able to change them without the game having a cheater flag. So I think that his 3 proposals just can't work on metaverse games

2) Not being able to build older buildings. This is also understandable from a gameplay AND realistic perspective. Gameplay wise, it is designed specifically to make older planets more useful, and realistically there are many examples (IE: how many modern hunters use stone spears?). However, if you don't like it, mod "PlanetImprovements.xml" and either...

Many modern hunters still use bows, and muzzleloading rifles.

After nuclear power plants were invented, coal and oil plants are still being built. Windmills are even making a come back.

Robots are the more high tech method, but many factories are still being built that don't use them.

This game was made without using the newest programming methods and languages.
