I love this game. I bought it the strength of an IGN review, since I don't remember playing the first one. However, I've played games like it; MOO, Star Control, & Galactic Imperium and 5 weeks ago I was yearning for a game to bring back those galactic conquest days. Then this game was dropped in my lap, as if someone heard my prayers. No sooner than I finished Dloading it, I began playing and fell in love, (I think my girlfriends jealous). Anyway, I got one HUGE & I mean HUGE problem.....it crashes for no reason.....most crashes happen when its time to save the game. I have it set to autosave after 7 turns and when the game just starts getting interesting and I go to save it the game crashes. I have to reload the autosave to pickup where I left off and its at this point that my game crashes every 2 - 3 saves. Whether I've turning autosaving off or not, the second I start saving the game crashes right in the middle of the save, erasing the whole save file and I gotta start from another save I made or play the "previous autosave" because the game crashed in the middle of an autosave. I lose about 15 - 30 minutes of turns when that happens and its driving me up a wall. I scanned for viruses and still the same problem, I lowered the resolution, still same problem, I've turned off the music, which skips sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much while I play, that alone really makes me wish I didn't buy if online. I even turned the autosave off and played about 15 turns waging war against 2 enemies and when to make a save file and the game crashed right in the middle of the save, erasing the save game file completely and I lost 45 minutes worth of work. SOMEONE HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
