Collectors Edition

Are the extra bits in the collectors edition available on a long term basis?

By this i mean im building a new system (mine was stolen along with 99.9% of my software) and id like to buy the collectors edition now as the shops round here dont restock games as often as they should.

I believe their policy on this is: if you're a registered member with a valid serial and account, you can download anything and everything any time that you like (reads: as long as Stardock exists). It's an ambitious goal, I admit, and I'm not sure how well it will work out years down the road, but I'm pretty sure that means you can download the collectors edition material when you finish building your new computer.

Yeah, I meant condolances, although I suppose regards could work... in a sort of... wishing for the best for your new system, or... I respect you for... how you manage to lose an entire computer and *gasp* the software with it too. ;;;

Thanks peeps

My flat was broken into, anything and everything was taken software that can never be replaced, all my books (took me over twenty years to build, many rare and useful books), records, etc if i was lucky i could maybe replace a few things. Thats how i lost my PC and over 500 software titles...

Thanks for the info though, i bought GalCiv II and will soon be putting scores up

Sorry to hear that. Expecially about the books as I am a collector myself. As for the collectors edition, everything in it will be available as long as GalCivII is available. The code juts seems to unlock the pieces already in the game. I bought the regular edition online and then upgraded to have the the collectors edition shipped to me. It was definately worth it and I didn't have to reinstall. Just enter in the new key and presto, all the new stuff was there. The physical CDs, box, and poster are really cool too. Anyway, just thought I would share so you can see how it is done and rest assured you will be able to download the collectors edition years from now.
