Well, here's the problem:
One, the cinematic movies (the opening/retiring movie/tutuorials) begin to play, but freeze/play extremely slowly. That's not too much of a problem though as I can click through them and after a few seconds the game responds and skips over it.
I try to fix this, though, by updating my drivers (I know part of the problem is that my computer is heavily fragmented, though I haven't been able to get it to a reasonable state of defragmentation for years...) First, I have Nvidia and notice my last driver was 78.01. I get the new 84.21. I turn off my anti-virus and firewall, and I uninstall my old Nvidia driver.
Funny thing is that I have two Nvidia drivers for some reason, so after I restart, I unistall that, but it was called Nvidia WMD Display driver (The other was called Nvidia driver) and it kept wanting to remove things that when removed may cause the some of my programs to cease functioning correctly. It did this about twenty times and I elected to just say "no" each time since I didn't know what I was doing. I then installed 84.21.
Afterwards it seemed all right, but the movie problem was not fixed. Further, my game seems a lot slower now, and loading seems to take much longer. The game froze once or twice. Any advice about how I can get my game back to the speed it used to be? Thanks.
