I love the ship builder and ship customization, but I see one major flaw with the way it's currently implemented.
The problem lies in the fact that ships created with one chasis, say 'Yor', are still loadable in other main chasis classes such as 'Human'. The problem is the hulls are very different, but the jewelry pieces and ship components are still assigned to the corresponding ship size models. All this does is create super ugly ships in one chasis that were created for another.
I propose that for each chasis there is a seperate naming scheme and ship section. That way you can have multiple ships named the same thing, such as Colony s5 (for a speed 5 colony), without overwriting another ship in another chasis class. It would also clean up all the 'clutter' in the ship building list for people like me who design many ships and play many races (and ship chasis).
