all the core ship designs strangely disappear

Playing my 2nd or 3rd game or so, and for some strange reason all the core ships seem to be disappearing from my game..
I can only design my own ships, plus use the necessary intial core ships, only STAR FURY becomes available.
Please note I am well aware that I need to research the required techs for all new ship designs, however, that is not the problem.
For example. I just researched Stinger II and Xeno Industry and still was not able to build a missile boat.

What's even more strange: ALL the core ships disappeared even from the in-game tech trees!!!!
They were simply not available, all the ship designs were absent, only ship components were present.

And what's worst, this might apply to AI ships as well, I finished 2 games too quickly be cause all they had were basic fighters and defenders ..

What can cause a strange problem like this ? I did not find similar problems in the forum.. I hope I'm just missing something but what on earth could it be I'm a very experienced gamer, and the ship designs disappear even from the research tech tree

Nothing i know can cause this. I know it is annoying but please be patient as the Stardock crew do not 'officially' work weekends so you may not get an answer until monday.

You are not the only one, I noticed this too. All the core ships are gone from the tech tree. Pretty annoying, though i dont really use core ships. I dont know about the AI. I dont know what kind of ships they use. In my games the AI ships are allways called fightgers x, heavy fighters x and defenders.

I was hoping I was just missing something. It seems I'm not, and there is in fact a bug or something.
Does AI build large ships at all in your game?
Mine doesn't seem to, at least so far, which could be a problem related to the absence of core ships.
Of course the game is unplayable for me as it is, if all of AI*s ships have only 12 HP's

I reported the missing core ships in the Glitch thread. However I was able to get the core ships from the Beam Weapon tech line to appear. It was just the mass drivers and missile weapon based core ships that wouldn't show up for me. This was in sandbox games, haven't checked in the campaign.
