Video problem after 1.0X.010 patch

After updating via stardock, all my planets and ships have disappeared. Even if I start a new game they're not there. There's small white circles where planets should be and blue icons where my ships should be. Any help is appreciated. I have a nvidia geforce 6600 gt with 81.98 drivers.
