This is a bug I found, but I have no clue how to reproduce it.
So my civilization is cranking along at the bottom of the power ranking (mainly because I haven't really developed any significant military, preferring to work on everything else first, I'm playing with AI's at sub-normal since I'm fairly new to the game and at least at that level the AI's aren't exploiting my weak military. I have massive amounts of research compared to all of them, though. Now, I've got one general planet (my home planet), a research planet, an industrial planet, and an economic planet, and I expanded to the PQ 4 for a little extra research. At some point, I notice that I'm suddenly losing large amounts of money. I figure, no big deal, since my economic planet should be cranking out massive taxes by now and should have built a farm by now. Yet, I still am losing massive amounts of money. Odd. So I check out the planet and discover that it is taking 50 turns to upgrade my banks and markets. I haven't even built the farm yet. Now my settings have social output at 0, but I have this planet concentrating on social output to make up for the civilization wide 0 output. I have 2 factories at this point plus the colony which should be more than enough social output.
Nope. My social output is a big whopping 2. Yep 2. In spite of having 3 improvements (including conlony) that have an industry rating of 12, I'm kicking out 2 social, 0 research, and 0 military when I concentrate on social. Not concentrating on social gives me 1 miliatry, 0 social (since the civilization has social of 0), and 1 research. So on a whim, I remove everything from the queue and buy another factory. My social output next turn is still 2. Apparently my lovely planet has decided to give up the ghost.
Am I missing something in the mechanics of the game, or do I have a bug?
Something I am sure is a bug, is occasionally when I create a ship and I click on the icon on the right side to take me to the starport planet, the game immediately switches to the planet and then starts scrolling right. I can force it to scroll back left, but as soon as I let the mouse go, the game scrolls again. The only way to stop it is to bring up one of the other screens. I can't even double-click a planet to stop it.
