Sound Issue {Music}

Greetings,

Since purchasing the game I have had a sound distortion problem with the Main Menu music. I can fix it by turning my sound acceleration down to basic. However it would be nice not to have to resort to this

Windows XP Home Edition
Dell Dimension 8200
Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.53GHz
1024MB RAM
DirectX 9.0c
GeForce FX 5900
Voyetra Turtle Beach Sound Card
All drivers are up to date

I also had an issue with music volume.

I had turned the music volume slider down to about 1/3. But sometimes when loading a game from scratch or loading one while playing, the volume would be full blast until either :-

1. I researched something, then it would drop down to the correct level.
2. I went to options and just clicked on where the slider was at.
