No Starbase Bonuses?

I'm not sure if this is a bug or if I've just misunderstood completely.

I have a planet, and two parsecs away is a Morale resource. I sent a Constructor there, and there has been a mining starbase there for many many turns.

On the planet Details screen, in the upper right box ("Starbase Bonuses") it says "No Starbase Bonuses"; nor is it listed in the Approval breakdown in the tooltip.

Is this a bug, or have I misunderstood the purpose of mining these resources?

I'm not sure what upper right box you're talking about (I'm going to find out, though), but in my experience, I have mined yellow resources and gotten a morale boost the turn after. I think it gets lumped in with "civ-wide bonuses" in the approval tooltip. And I have found the effect noticeable when I have a couple yellows mined.

The morale resource benefits your whole empire,not just a planet.

Is there a screen that lists empire wide bonuses with their source (i.e. from Starbases, racial traits, ...)?

It would be nice if empire wide starbase bonuses were listed under the Starbase Bonus section of the planet detail screen with a (empire wide) after it. Something like, "Morale 5% (empire wide)".

This is not a bug since this bonus is empire wide. Click on the "Civilization Manager" button, then select the "Stats & Graphs" tab, and finally click on Abilities. There you will see all your empire wide bonuses.

Cool, thanks. I didn't know that the Abilities would show bonuses created/granted after the game started, such as empire wide Starbase bonuses. I thought it was just the racial abilities you stared the game with.

Thats for effects that are from non-mining starbases that specifically affect that planet. For example, if you upgrade your economy starbases with the right modules they will provide a bonus that will be indicated here.

If you build economic starbases (can build them anywhere - ie, not on a resource) and their radius overlaps a planet and if you build mining modules on them, you can get production bonuses that apply to every planet within the radius. These are the bonuses that show up in the details screen.

You can have multiple econ starbases multi-overlapping multiple planets and stack up the bonuses if you wanna get buck wild crazy too.
