Anyone had an interesting event/anamoly(sp?)??

Just curious if anyone has had something interesting happen through an event, or from an anamoly.

For the most part mine have been pretty boring. Never seen a major event... mostly ive seen Ranger ships, and a big beam that doubled population growth.

Anamolies have been more boring.. everything is either a sum of money or a 25% "boost" in my current research.


I just wonder if there is better stuff out there that I just havent experienced yet

Yeah the anamolies seem too generic. More variety and flavor.

you mean like to find the biggest ball of string in the galaxy, or a deadly yellow rubber ducky that destorys planets.......

Something evil was growing on one of my planets. So I was told. But all that ever happened was I got a later message that The Evil Doo-Dah had been defeated. So nothing actually happened as far as I could tell.

I'm currently adding anomolies to my game. Even some negative ones where you lose something instead of gain it just to add a different flavour. I mean, running into an asteroid field doesn't always have to end well, now does it?

I also want to add new events, but i can't figure out what the GoodAttribute, EvilAttribute & NeutralAttribute tags do. Without knowing that, i'm not going to risk adding events.

All of my anomalies and event triggers have been pretty boring. My co-worker got some Ranger ships, though, that he used to harass trade routes and extort tech from other civs.

Well on a huge map, the very first anamoly I found was a black hole and it sent me to the opposite corner of the map. I eventually got back, and as soon as I got into my range of planets, I saw another anamoly.... ANOTHER BLACK HOLE!

btw... Is there any way to build a flagship type ship that can investigate anamolies? What is needed for that kind of ship?

You need to research a couple of the sensor techs, and then you get a "Survery Module" addon. I forget the exact sensor tech you need, but it isn't very far up. You can then add the Survery Module to any type of ship that will fit it (i.e. you can make a survery ship with a cargo hull instead of the medium hull you start with).
