I need help with invasions or lack thereof

ok, I have like 20 ships with over 50m troops waiting on these ships, and there is no ship in my enemies fleet anymore let alone floating above the world I want to conquer. No matter how many times I double click or whatever my people will not invade. How do I invade this planet? For one I got a digital download so its not like I have a manual in front of my face. I need help.

Click on your transport ship. Right click the planet in question to move it to the planet (as you did with your attack ships to take out defending ships). If the planet has the shield icon in the lower right then you didn't take out all the orbital defense ships yet so you'll need to do that first.

FYI that there is a PDF of the manual installed with the game so you can print that if you'd like.

yea I found it, all it did was say the same thing as you. Hmm I don't know why but it isn't working. I have all the modules on all of my ships. Most have many adv troop carriers. No matter what I click it isn't working.

Move one tile up/down or left/right, then attack from a different tile.

I had a similar problem in my second game. My fleet refused to attack from the tile I was on (it displayed an automove tag instead of attacking). What I did was move my orbiting fleet from the right, to above the planet and was able to attack the planet once I moved off that tile.
During the same game, I spotted a hostile scout ship hiding between planets and a star, but I couldn't attack it. I had to wait for it to move off that tile, before I was able to destroy it from another position.
Weird.

My first game was bug free. Don't know what was up with my second game though. Trying #3 later today.

I know it sounds silly, but make sure your ship has a movement point left to actually move onto the planet. Often a transport will arrive on the square next to the planet, without any moves left, and it will show the 'AutoMove' tag because it still has a waypoint (the planet). As soon as the next turn hits, it'll invade.
