HighScore Woes

Now i can beat the game on Normal 99.9% of the time.
Now on challenging, i can beat it 20% of the time.

Average high score for Normal games = 13,000 or so
Average high score (victorious) for Challenging games = 8,000

It is so much harder to beat it on challenging then it is on normal, yet, if i were in an empire and wanted to raise thier rank, i'd go just play normal games because 1) they are faster 2) they give more points.
I know it took a little more time to accomplish a victory on challenging, but shouldn't it be more points?

Also, do you guys have an itellengent setting? mine goes normal, challenging, tough, painful and so on, but no intellegent setting. I thought i saw it one time but i am postitive it was erased or something. So i dunno. But above is my issue.

One thing to be aware of that may make you feel better:

We can retroactively adjust scores on the metaverse. We used to do this regularly back in the Galciv I days. Once we see how different players scores work out, we can tweak them to fit the needs of the community.

Right now i've been climbing difficulty levels, playing untill i can beat it three times in a row on one difficulty, then bumping to the next higher -- Although it makes my metaverse score look nice, it's rather unfair for my 'beginner' games to be worth more than someone playing on a higher level.

As for your search for the "intelligent" setting, that's for setting the intelligence of the races, not the overall difficulty. It corresponds with a "tough" difficulty. Of course you can set all the smartness sliders to "intelligent" instead if you wish.
