(008 patch) Mining starbase destruction issue still there?

Didnt I read in the patch notes that you had fixed the issue where if you destroy a mining starbase you can then build a starbase on it again? Just destroyed my first one since updating via stardock to patch 008 and after blowing it up you cant even select the resource (ie clicking on the map on the resource does nothing). Saving and reloading fixes it as before though at least.

Did you start a new game or did you update in the middle of the game? I didn't try it yet, but that might be the reason. Start a new game and check it again.

I haven't had this problem. I've been able to build over destroyed star bases with no issues.

The questions is can you build a mining starbase over a resource that had previous mining starbase destroyed. I have not had the opportunity to try this since the Friday patch.

I had the problem before the patch but now it's solved. Strange that it still doesn't work in your game :/

If you can see fog of war over the resource it might've been mined already. I've already destroyed and made a starbase over an enemy's resource.

There would hardly be fog of war where my ships just blew it up

I havent had a chance to check again in my latest games but will post if I see it happening next time. iirc it was the green resource (economy?) that it happened to, I had a military one in the same game it didnt happen with so could be only certain ones ... will test them all when I get a chance.

I took an economy resource with my ship, that I just blew up. I don't understand how it could happen, when it certainly is fixed for me. Did you continue a pre-update game?

Found the problem.

I had updated to 007 with the downloaded patch ..ingame version listed as 1D-1 bonus pack
I then had noticed that the version listed in stardock was 008 so I downloaded that, the version ingame was set back to 1D bonus pack. I didnt even notice. On checking the other things like tech reqs listed under techs etc that the latest patch adds all of them were gone. So for whatever reason, the SDC 008 patch had actualy rolled back to the old version.

Manualy re-installing the 007 patch fixed all the issues.

*sigh*

Started another new game - starbases now can be rebuilt fine. But suddenly 2 of my starports are stuck with 0 turns to go to produce a ship but wont finish them

Anybody know a work around for this? Ive tried changing the ship being built, reloading the game and yelling at them but nothing worked

I've seen the same thing. I am playing unpatched however (didn't have time to check site, too busy playing). I ended up giving the 2 planets it occured on to the Dreingin (my buddies) so that the Torians couldn't take them over (they were worthless planets the Korx gave me when they surrendered).
And yes, there was plenty of room in orbit.
