I do like the new layout of the tech tree in gal civ 2. However, there are two conviences that I think would be of great use.

1.) When in full tech tree scan mode, it would be nice to be able to scan all the way out and get a better feeling for where you are looking at the tech tree. Right now I do allow of pull scrolling back and forth to find the tech branches I need.

2.) It would be very useful if the tech tree allowed you to click on each tech, bring up what if offers (which it alreaedy does in the smaller window) and then let you click on each new items, modules, strutures , etc, and let you see exactly what each was (which neither the reduced or larger tech tree allows). Some form of hyper link or pop up to such data would be great. It would allow for better plaing of tech paths, because now you know exactly what you get for each tech and how useful they are. That way, you can better judge where to research. This is probably the more important of the two features I woul like to see.
