Anomalies are now invisible

Early in my game, I had to quit for dinner, and reload later on via auto-save (I also tried earlier quicksaves), and all of a sudden the anomalies became invisible. Reloads, game restarts, system restarts all did not fix it. Using what I believe are the latest drivers for my Radeon 9800XT.

I can still mouse over the anomalies if I get lucky, and was even able to grab 1 with my surveyor...but this is odd. Is there some kind of option (though I can't imagine 1 for this) for this that I might has miskeyed by accident?

I'm *not* talking about the mini-map, which has anomalies on/off options.

I tend to find that the original anomalies are visible, but ones that spawn later are not visible. The workround is just to set your Survey ship on Auto-Survey. Not the perfect answer, but it helps until they fix this problem

While we're on the subject, is it just me or is there still no way to combine the 'auto survey' and 'auto explore' commands?

I mean, I 'd like my survey-capable ships to auto explore, and when they encounter an anomaly, I'd like them to investigate it.

Ooops.  I never put in code to make it create the anomaly gfx when it creates new ones. It creates the data object but not the model.  Auto Survey should still work, though, and since there are no space monsters in the game at the present time, you're save just using that.

Ok then, hopefully this will make it to a not-so-future patch. I'm more of a hands on kind of guy, but will suck it up and auto-survey for now.

I have not had luck with the autosurvey option and disappearing anomalies. Mine vanished early on, and autosurvey has not worked since. I currently have huge chunks of the map visible for many turns, but again autosurvey picks up nothing.

Is the spawn rate very low on these things, even if they are vanishing?

Oh man! So I was not wrong in assuming that anomalies not respawning was kinda stupid ^^;... I really wondered what was the point of the "all ships get survey module" galactic wonder too... .

Ok here is a wied twist to this... I could see anomalies on the screen but the auto detect couldn't. I saved and restarted and now there are none there.
