There are some very bad men in Galactic Civilizations II.  And IGN has just put up the newest entry in the series on the races of Galactic Civilizations II.

This time it's the Dread Lords themselves!  The most in-depth discusson of the game universe yet. Check it out.

I do wish it were possible to play as them in non-campaign games. Would be great fun terrorizing the universe.

What's up with the Altarian Republic in the data banks section? Both them and the Terran Alliance don't have links to back stories in the civilizations section although the Terran Alliance has a note attached stating that one is coming while the Altarian's do not. Just wondering if we can expect a nice back story for the Altarians too.

I love the other civ back stories that are up already btw

Is it just me, or does this entire story seem like it came straight out of Babylon 5?

I guess the real question is which came first, and then whether the people behind Galciv are fans of Harlan Ellison just like B5.

When you play through the campaign, the story is noooooothing like Bab 5. I daresay it rivals it, and I say that as a great fan of Babylon 5.
