Except that inexplicably people stop responding. In the middle of trying to find a solution to my problem all devs stopped responding. My connection is still working though.

Not sure if I'm in the right place but here goes. Just started a game and so far I'm playing and saving with no disk in cd drive. what gives. does it prompt you for a disk later in game or what. Any commets will be appreciated.

snake.. there is no copy protection for the game.. since you can buy it and NEVER GET A CD!!!

would be hard to do when you don't have a CD...

Also the server seems buggy and disconnects often ... too bad we can't get it on another stable network?

Hey, I am having problems getting the game up and running. The first time I ran it. The starting clip and the main menu page were spread all the way across the screen. I was only seeing half of the screen and half of the clip. So I updated the Nvidia Geforce 4 MX drivers and now all I get when I start GALCIV is sprite pixelation Like on the old Commodore 64's. Anybody got any ideas?

The serial you need to use to register the game does not have any dashes in it--there should be a second serial in the box (without dashes, 28 characters, and only 0-9 and A-F) if the one you were using does have dashes. The 'wrong' serial can easily be identified because it always starts with GC2.

Okay... I've already posted this in another forum, but I cannot find my serial number.
I bought a completely legit package. I can't find anything with the aforementioned serial number on it. What does it look like?... Or was I just sold one without one at all?

I downloaded the latest Beta 1.96 the one on impulse at the present time When i start to play the first  thing is that screen shows string not found were there is to be design of ships If I click I get a screen showing ships If i try to start a new game It crashes when i go from the initial screen showing  a universe (gigantic) etc It then crashes to desktop with windows stating there is an error and is shutting down I have tried downloading and used different servers 1 and 2 but to no avail  Enclosed is the debug file

Debug Message: No files found matching mask C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\Mods\Default\Data\Scenarios\*.gc2scenario

I have attempted to get an answer and have not been successful other then suggestion i should reinstall which I have done multiple times Please help

I downloaded the latest Beta 1.96 the one on impulse...

Debug Message: Could not open reg key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE\Stardock\ComponentManager\Drengin.net\GC2EU

The 2.0 beta is not compatible with GC2EU. When EU is supported in Impulse, it will have a separate update option. Until then, you should not attempt to update GC2EU as standard DA/TA, as this will break the special changes made in order for EU to work with localizations and without the base game.
